ME2-O3 Ozone Sensor
The ME2-O3 ozone sensor is a constant-potential electrolytic sensor. The electrochemical oxidation process of ozone at the working electrode is controlled by electronic circuitry, which maintains the working and reference electrodes of the electrolytic cell at a constant potential. At this potential, ozone can undergo electrochemical oxidation or reduction reactions. Since the Faraday current generated during the oxidation and reduction reactions of oxygen is very small and can be ignored, the current generated by the electrochemical reaction of the analyte gas is proportional to its concentration and follows Faraday's law. Therefore, the concentration of the analyte gas can be determined by measuring the magnitude of the current.
